The New Tech Dragon varsity tennis team traveled to Waco on Friday to participate In the University Spring Invitational. On the boys side, Chinonso Ogwudu (5-0) and Leland Moore (5-0) both went undefeated In their separate draws to take 1st place In Singles A draw and B draw respectively. Tran Le (4-1) placed 2nd In the girls Singles A draw and Isabelle Allen (3-2) placed 3rd In the girls Singles B draw. And In doubles action, Jocelyn Martinez and Eliot Stutes came In 4th place. There were several other Dragons In action, Including Ethan Borchers and Camdyn Harper who made It to the consolation finals In the Mixed Doubles A draw but came up just short, and Colton Fry and Alex Miranda just missed out of placing In the Boys Doubles A draw. The Dragons played really well to open up their spring play. Next week, on Friday February 2nd, the Dragons will travel to Pflugerville to play in the Pflugerville Invite.
