The Varsity Dragons made the long trip to Marble Falls on Thursday to play the Mustangs in their second district match of the fall season. It was another scorcher, but the Dragons showed tremendous fight and secured a couple of victories on the evening, but ended up losing the overall match 17-2. There were 4 singles matches that made it to a 3rd set tiebreaker, and the Dragons ended up winning 2 of them. Lucas Do (6-7(2-7), 7-5, 10-1) came out on top this week after going to tiebreaker last week as well, and Desmond Long (4-6, 7-5, 18-116) won an exciting match to earn the 2nd victory of the evening. Nyla Mathews (1-6, 6-1, 6-10) and Zak Ybarra (4-6, 6-1, 5-10) also made it to a 3rd set tiebreaker before falling just short to their opponents. The Dragons return to action next Thursday when they welcome the Lago Vista Vikings to the Crossroads Tennis courts at 4:00pm.
