The Varsity Dragons welcomed the Lampasas Badgers on Thursday, opening district play for the 2026 Team Tennis season. The Dragons played hard against a tough Badgers team, and they put up a good fight across the board. Even though the Dragons ended up losing the overall match 19-0, there was some competitive matches played by both the boys and the girls. Outstanding matches Included Jett Lopez (6-3, 1-6, 3-10) and Lucas Do (1-6, 6-2, 6-10), both of whom forced a 3rd set tiebreaker In their matches. Each boy played hard until the final point but they each came up just short In their match. The Dragons look to turn things around when they travel to Marble Falls next week when they take on the Mustangs for their 2nd district match of the year.
