Girls JV 2 Mile: Dragons Dominate the Front

Freshman runner Ellie Megoulla captured the top spot in the JV 2 Mile, winning the race with a time of 14:45. Her determination and pace set the tone for the Dragons’ day.

Right behind her was Claire Thomas, who earned second place in 15:20, giving the Dragons a powerful one-two finish. Adding to the team’s success, Daniella Idumebor ran a solid race to finish 19th overall in 16:48, helping showcase the team’s depth.

Boys Varsity 5K: Strong Pack Effort

The Dragons’ boys also made their presence known in the varsity 5K. Leading the charge, DJ Martinez broke into the top 10 with a 9th-place finish in 19:40. He was followed by Daniel Zubaty, who placed 13th with a time of 19:59, giving Belton New Tech two finishers in the top 15.

Desmond Long turned in a steady performance, placing 25th in 20:40, while Zorian Hajduk battled through to finish 71st with a time of 26:52. The boys’ pack effort highlighted both individual breakthroughs and team consistency.
