The Dragons took to the pool for an exciting quad meet, facing off against Belton High School, Lake Belton, and Leander Rouse High School in a showcase of talent, determination, and team spirit. The meet featured thrilling races and fierce competition, with each team pushing the limits in every event. For the Dragons, it was an opportunity to test their skills against formidable opponents while building on their strong season momentum. From powerful individual performances to seamless relay teamwork, the Dragons proved they belong in the fast lane.

Record Breaking Performances:
-Claire Thomas (11) broke the team record in the Girls’ 50 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 28.90 and a 6th place finish.
-Zayne Williford (10) placed 2nd in the Boys’ 200 Yard Freestyle with a new team record of 2:00.63.
-Boys’ 200 Yard Freestyle Relay: Williford, Wright, Tort-Negron, and Stilley finished 3rd with a new team record of 1:47.79.
-Boys’ 400 Yard Freestyle Relay: Stilley, Tort-Negron, Johnston, and Williford finished the day together with a 4th place finish with a new team record of 3:56.39.

Notable Performances:
-Miller Epperson (09) finished 8th in the Girls’ 100 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 1:09.70. She finished the day with the Girls’ 100 Yard Backstroke where she placed 8th with a final time of 1:21.92.
-Beauregard Hermann (09) placed 5th in the Boys’ 100 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 1:03.00. He went on to place 6th in the Boys’ 100 Yard Backstroke with a final time of 1:11.75.
-Deion Johnston (11) took 7th in the Boys' 100 Yard Freestyle with a new best time of 1:06.17. He went on to finish 11th in the Boys' 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:34.59.
-Niylah Nett (09) placed 4th in the Girls’ 200 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 2:18.61. She went on to place 5th in the Girls’ 100 Yard Butterfly with a final time of 1:11.63.
-Jayden Stilley (10) grabbed 3rd place in the Boys’ 50 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 25.27. He finished the day with a 5th place finish in the Boys’ 500 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 6:03.52.
-Claire Thomas (11) finished 2nd in the Girls’ 100 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 1:02.04.
-Caleb Tort-Negron (11) finished 4th in the Boys' 100 Yard Butterfly with a final time of 1:08.97. He finished his day with the Boys’ 100 Yard Backstroke where he finished 7th with a time of 1:12.35.
-Zayne Williford (10) finished 2nd in the Boys’ 500 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 5:38.90.
-Tristen Wright (11) took 11th in the Boys' 50 Yard Freestyle with a new best time of 29.80. He finished his day with the Boys’ 100 Yard Freestyle where he finished 10th with a final time of 1:21.02.
As the meet came to an end, the Dragons left the pool with pride, having delivered a series of standout performances against tough competition. The meet highlighted their growth as a team, from personal bests to strategic races that showcased their determination. The Dragons extend their gratitude to BHS, LBHS, and Leander Rouse for an incredible day of racing, and to the fans and supporters who cheered them on. With lessons learned and confidence gained, the Dragons are ready to dive into the next chapter of their season.

The Dragons return to the pool on November 22 when they travel to Texarkana for the 2024 Northeast Texas TISCA Invite.
