The New Tech JV Dragons traveled to Waco to participate in the University Spring JV tournament. Out of the 11 players that went, 8 came home with medals! 5 of the 7 entries made it to either the 1st place match, 3rd place match, or the Consolation final. Of those 5 matches, 4 came away with medals. In the 1st place match in mixed doubles, Gavin Tull and Ryleigh Harvey made a strong comeback but had to settle for 2nd place. In the 3rd place boys doubles match, Gracin Catterton and Zaylen Kimball came out victorious to take 3rd. Finally in the Consolation matches, Jett Lopez and Desmond Long won boys doubles, Aidan Wills and Carime Montez won mixed doubles, and Caleb Isbell came just short of winning boys singles. Overall, it was a dominant performance by the Dragons! The JV team looks to continue their success next week when they travel to Academy to play in their spring tournament.
