The New Tech Dragon teams were in action this week at Copperas Cove and Robinson. The Freshman team competed in their first tournament of the year in Copperas Cove and performed well. Overall, half of our entries made it to the consolation finals! Liam Ferrell made it to the boys singles consolation finals but came up just short. Then, in the boys doubles consolation finals, we had Dragons versus Dragons! Desmond Long and Jett Lopez went up against fellow teammates Gracin Catterton and Zaylen Kimball and came out victorious with a score of 8-5. This was Gracin and Zaylen’s first ever tennis tournament and they played well!

The JV Dragons went to Robinson to compete in their spring tournament. Lucas Abell showcased his talent by winning the boys singles B draw without dropping a single match. Additionally, Daniel Regian and Sam Wilson demonstrated great teamwork and skill, securing 3rd place in the boys doubles B draw. Keep up the excellent work on the courts!

The Freshman team will travel to Temple on Tuesday, February 20th to compete in their spring tournament while the JV team will travel to Waco to play in the Waco High Spring tournament.
