On Wednesday, February 7th, the Dragon varsity tennis team traveled to Groesbeck to take part in their spring tournament. After the first round, three entries made it into the winners bracket, Chinonso Ogwudu, Tran Le, and Colton Fry and Alex Miranda. In the second round, all three faced extremely challenging opponents and fell short of a victory. In the consolation bracket, 4 out of the 7 entries made it all the way to the finals. Leland Moore was the lone consolation victory, beating his opponent 4-3 to close out the tournament. Jocelyn Martinez and Isabelle Allen, Aidan Finn and Tim McPike, and Ethan Borchers and Camdyn Harper were the other athletes to make it to finals but each one just barely lost out. Overall, it was a long day for the Dragons but they still found success!
