The New Tech Dragon Freshman tennis team played in the Harker Heights Freshman tournament on Tuesday, January 20th for their first spring tournament of the year. All 11 players played well in their matches and several players brought home medals.

In Boys Singles, Jackson Trulove won the Consolation medal for the A draw and Joah Moore won the Consolation in the B draw. In Boys Doubles, Landon Ortiz and Christian Reed also brought home the Consolation medal in a combined A/B draw. Lastly, in Girls Doubles, Heidi Cook and Susie Miller earned the 2nd place medal while only dropping one match on the day.

It was a great showing for the first tournament of the year and the Freshman team looks to continue their success at their next tournament on Monday, February 9th when they help host the Belton ISD Freshman tournament.
