BISD Golf Tournament Recap – March 19 & 20, 2025
Stonetree Golf Course, Killeen, TX

The BISD golf teams faced challenging conditions at the Stonetree Golf Course in Killeen on March 19 and 20, 2025, as windy weather made for difficult play. Despite the tough conditions, several players put up strong performances in this competitive tournament.

March 19, 2025: The Girls' Day at Stonetree

The tournament kicked off with the girls' event on March 19, where Samantha McKenzie and Rose Posvial represented their team. Both players showed great resilience against the harsh winds, but the elements proved challenging.

Samantha McKenzie shot a respectable 109, battling through the wind to maintain her focus and steady play throughout the round.

Rose Posvial finished the day with a score of 140. Though the score wasn’t what she had hoped for, Posvial displayed perseverance in difficult conditions, continuing to push through the windy course.

Despite the challenging weather, McKenzie’s performance was notable, and her effort provided a solid foundation for the team.

March 20, 2025: The Boys’ Day at Stonetree

The boys took to the course the following day, and though the wind had not relented, they too showed grit and determination in their performances.

Zane Trusky was the standout for the day, shooting an impressive 87. His control and skill in tough conditions earned him the day’s top score from the BISD boys.

Ethan Borchers finished with a score of 109, showing resilience and focus despite the tough weather.

Conner Bridges shot a 111, displaying strong golfing fundamentals but found the wind challenging to overcome.

Za'ron Lee wrapped up his round with a 138. While the conditions made it hard to reach his goals, Lee showed great effort and determination throughout the day.

Jadrian Juarbe posted a score of 140, fighting through the rough conditions and staying mentally tough as he made his way through the round.

While the weather may not have been ideal, the performances from both the girls and boys’ teams demonstrated the athletes’ determination to succeed, regardless of the challenges posed by Mother Nature.

Looking Ahead
