Belton New Tech Golf Teams Showcase Strong Performances at Local Tournaments

Belton New Tech’s golfers had a busy and exciting week, with players competing in various tournaments across Central Texas. From Lake Waco to Lost Pines, each athlete demonstrated impressive skill and sportsmanship. Here’s a breakdown of the results from last week’s tournaments.

Emma Young and Rose Posival Compete at Lake Waco
On Monday, Emma Young and Rose Posival represented Belton New Tech at Lake Waco for a challenging competition. Emma put in a solid performance, shooting a score of 118, while Rose followed closely with a score of 121. Despite the tough conditions, both players showed determination and resilience throughout the round. Their efforts were a great way to kick off the week for the team.

Samantha McKenzie Shines at Bastrop Elite Invitational
On Tuesday, Samantha McKenzie traveled to Lost Pines to participate in the prestigious Bastrop Elite Invitational. She put on an impressive display of golf, shooting a score of 105, which highlighted her skill and focus throughout the event. Her strong performance showed that she is continuing to develop as one of the team’s standout players. Samantha’s finish was a highlight of the week, reflecting her hard work and commitment to the sport.

Belton New Tech Golfers Compete at the Salado Invitational
Wednesday saw a full team of Belton New Tech golfers competing in the Salado Invitational. The group included Colton Fry, Ethan Borchers, Za'ron Lee, Conner Bridges, and Jadrian Juarbe. Each player gave their best effort, with Ethan leading the group with a solid score of 98. Colton Fry and Conner Bridges both posted scores of 107, while Jadrian Juarbe shot 115, and Za'ron Lee finished with a score of 123. While the tournament was challenging, the players showed incredible teamwork and sportsmanship, gaining valuable experience for future events.

Zane Trusky Competes in the Waco ISD Two Invitational
Finally, over the weekend, Zane Trusky took on the Waco ISD Two Invitational, which took place over two days. Zane got off to a strong start on day one, shooting a score of 84. On day two, he faced some challenges but still managed to shoot a 92, securing a 40th-place finish overall. His consistent performance over both days was commendable, and it’s clear that Zane’s determination continues to pay off as he competes at a high level.
